What is Seeking Discovery? I created Seeking Discovery with the goal to see the world and develop personal growth each and every day. The concept of discovery has always been an interest to me. Growing up I had a thirst for knowledge and understanding and how the world worked. I would take things apart to learn how they work. I would build new things to learn how to use tools and put my creativity to work. And then I started to travel… After my first trips, I realized that traveling is one of the best ways to learn and discover new things.
Digital Nomad
If you would have asked me in college, “Do you see yourself buying a bus and becoming a digital nomad?”, I surely would have said no. I graduated with my degree in mechanical engineering in May of 2019 at Michigan Tech before moving to Florida to work for Disney. I was excited to be working in themed entertainment using my engineering degree. Fast forward to April 2020 and I find out my position is being eliminated due to the pandemic. I was saddened and uncertain about what would be next. Since then I have become my own boss and use the power of the internet to run my businesses online. Mainly I focus on business development and website building. Skoolie
After getting laid off in 2020 I decided to purchase a school bus to convert into a tiny home on wheels to have the freedom to travel while working remote online. My build took about 9 months and my budget was $25K. My skoolie is designed for friends and family to come on the road with me and can sleep 6 adults comfortably. I have a living room, dinette, full kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Complete with 100 gallons of fresh water and 1400 watts of solar to keep me powered on the go. Tiny Kitchen Big Flavor
The newest addition to the Seeking Discovery brand is Tiny Kitchen Big Flavor. Growing up I spend a lot of time in the kitchen with my parents. Those memories have turned into a passion for cooking and sharing food with the people I care about. Most days I go live on TikTok for “BusLife Breakfast” where I make coffee and breakfast while chatting with folks online. That has grown into Tiny Kitchen Big Flavor where I will share my favorite recipes with you to try in your own kitchen no matter the size!
