What better way to start a day of Seeking Discovery than with Belize breakfast! As I mentioned before in the previous Belize post, food is one of my favorite parts fo traveling. Getting to experience local favorites helps create a complete experience while traveling. Although Caye Caulker is a small island, there were no shortages of breakfast options to start each day. I am excited to share with you some of my favorites while I was on the island!
Breakfast: The Most Important Meal of the Day
When you think of tropical island living, I bet crepes don’t come to mind. Located right by the boat pier where you will unload on the island is a cozy little restaurant called Crepes & Dreams and if you are looking for some great breakfast this is the place to go! They have plenty of sweet treats to fill you up in the morning and of course a nice cup of coffee to go with it. Check out the image below of the different breakfast options I got while visiting. It was so good!

Quick and Easy Belize Breakfast
If you are looking for something quick in the morning and don’t have time to sit down somewhere I would recommend heading down to the beach and checking out Ice and Beans. They have great fresh coffee and light offerings. I chose to get a yogurt parfait with granola and fresh pineapple. We visited them multiple times while on the island. They have a great view of the ocean right on the beach. There is plenty of benches and tables on the sand to relax and have a peaceful morning. The parfait was so fresh and delicious and if you are visiting when its real hot the ice coffee really hits the spot any time of day including breakfast. I cannot recommend them enough!

Casual Sit Down Breakfast
The last, but certainly not least, place we are talking about for breakfast is Amore Y Cafe! Like most restaurants on the island they have a nice outdoor dining area that is covered. There are tables and counters to choose from when eating here. Their breakfast sandwiches are fantastic and of course you have to get an iced coffee to go with the sandwich!

These were just a few of the options on Caye Caulker. There are plenty of options when it comes to starting your day on the island.
