Whenever I travel there are certain items that I always take with me. When searching for new gadgets to make life easier when traveling I am always skeptical. So after lots of searching, these are the Top 3 Must Have Travel Gadgets!
Travel Gadget #1: International Power Adapter ($19.99)
Now I know some of you will skip this item just by reading the subtitle because it says “international” and you’re thinking, “But I don’t travel internationally, why would I need this?”. This adapter isn’t something I take along only on international trip and I am going to tell you why this is the first of the 3 travel gadgets!
This little adapter is packed full of features that have made my life easier while traveling both internationally as well as in the United States. My favorite feature is the 4 USB ports on top of the adapter. There are 2 2.1 amp usb ports and 2 2.4 amp usb ports for quick charging. If you are like me there are multiple devices you travel with that are powered and charged over USB. Personally I always have my phone and watch to plug in. Typically I will have my GoPro/batteries and a portable battery pack as well. All of those can be plugged in to charge at the same time off of a single adapter. I would much rather carry a single power adapter than 4 individual adapters!
Additionally it functions like most international adapters allowing you to power your devices from the local outlet type. When I was traveling in Thailand I never had any issues with this adapter. One thing to keep in mind is that this just changes the plug configuration and does not recondition the electricity, so be sure your devices can still be powered with the local voltage and frequency! Most laptop and electronic chargers have the voltage and frequency range they can operate on listed on the cord or device.
Travel Gadget #2: Packing Cubes ($44.99)
For the longest time I had no idea what a Packing Cube was… But once I picked up a set of eBags Packing Cubes I knew the way I traveled would change forever, especially when I backpack. These cubes make it so easy to add compartments to your backpack or luggage that are just large open spaces. I break it down by shirts, pants/short, underwear/socks and miscellaneous items. It is so nice when you get to your Airbnb and can just pull out the cube you want and still have everything else nicely organized.
These were another item I am so glad I brought to Thailand with me. My friend Alex who was backpacking with me across Thailand did not have packing cubes and after seeing how easy they were to use, vowed she would get a set of these travel gadgets once we were back in the US. I will admit it does take a little longer to pack up since you can’t just shove everything into the large area, but in the long run it makes traveling much less stressful and chaotic because you can find what you are looking for really easily.
Travel Gadget #3: Solar Battery Pack ($39.99)
If you are anything like me and like to bring lots of electronic gadgets while traveling you know that keeping them powered during a long day of Seeking Discovery and Exploring Everywhere can be a challenge. Well I have the travel gadget solution to both my problem and yours. Let me introduce you to the F.DORLA Solar Power Bank. Now I will admit this is not the only power pack that I have, but it is the only one that has a solar panel integrated into it. But it has more than just battery power and solar charging!
This battery pack and charger is only slightly thicker than my phone. It contains 2 usb ports for charging your devices and one micro usb input to charge the pack from a wall charger like the SublimeWare International Power Adapter. In addition to the charging ports it also contains a flashlight on the back of the power pack to provide you with extra light in remote areas while hiking or backpacking. It is also shock-proof, rain-proof, and dust-proof. If you are in the market for a power pack I would highly recommend this one!

These little travel gadgets really have made traveling easier for me. Not having to worry about power and organization while packing has reduced the stress and increased the enjoyment.
