Save $100 On A New Camera | GoPro HERO7 Black

Getting into photography and videography can seem like a very expensive task. What better way to dive in and save some money on a new GoPro camera. I recently was doing research on the new GoPro and was trying to decide if I wanted to order one or not. Like most people I don’t have an unlimited budget for equipment so I like to get creative. That is when I stumbled on the GoPro TradeUp Program! At the time of this post GoPro is offering a discount on two of their new cameras to make them more affordable to consumers.

Get The Deal

It is really easy to get this deal, which made me kind of skeptical of the whole process. You can receive $100 off the GoPro HERO7 or $250 off the Fusion cameras by GoPro. They will even cover shipping. So how do you get the deal? It is simple all you have to do is get an old digital camera that no longer works that was originally valued at $100 and send it in. The best part is GoPro sends you a shipping label for the camera you send them. The only “catch” if you want to call it that is the camera must have had an original value of at least $100 when new.

Need A Camera?

I thought that I had an old Canon point and shoot camera laying around the basement, but wasn’t able to find it. I was stuck on where to get a camera that would match the requirements so I could get the discount. This is another place where I got creative. I went on Facebook Marketplace and found the same camera I was planning on sending in for $10. To me this was a no brainer, spend $10 to get $100 off. I was able to pick it up same day which was really helpful. So if you can’t find a camera at home, check your favorite online marketplace for used cameras. Painless Process

The whole process took me less than 3 weeks to complete and have my new GoPro in hand! After you go through the checkout on the website, you will get an email with the shipping label to send the old camera out. I was able to follow the tracking and it took about a week to get to California. The tracking showed it was delivered on Friday and by Tuesday I had a email with tracking info on my new camera which was coming via 2 Day Shipping. One thing to note, is you will not be charged for the new GoPro HERO7 until they receive the returned camera. They did put a $1 transaction on my credit card as a place holder.

Overall I was very happy with the process. I saved some money and got a new camera. I will be doing a full review of the camera in a future post.
