Theodore Roosevelt National Park | An Underutilized Park

The U.S. contains over 50 National Parks spread throughout the country. Although I haven’t been able to make it to them all…yet, I do want to share one of the unique parks that is less visited. Theodore Roosevelt National Park is located in North Dakota, with some amazing views throughout the park. Even though Theodore Roosevelt National Park is only ranked 29th on the list of most visited parks, everyone should visit it.

When arriving at the park, endless roaming hills with grasses and small vegetation greet guests. The hills fill the landscape as far as the eyes can see. One of the most popular ways to experience the park is to camp on site. While some sites are first come, first served, other sites can be reserved before arriving. Check out more camping and reservation information on the Theodore Roosevelt National Park Website.

The park offers guests many adventures and sights to see while visiting. There are tons of trails to hike, backcountry camps to explore, and so much more. Personally, I enjoy taking my camera while hiking in case I stumble upon something unique. Although I am unsure of the type, I was fascinated with the flowers pictured below. Know what type of flower it is? Leave a comment below. Learn more about the park’s nature and science here.
